Christmas, New Years, and Two Months Home

I don't know how to sum up the past few weeks into a short post. Christmas was amazing, if a little overwhelming for all of us. Sam had a veritable sea of presents to open and still doesn't really understand why Christmas was one day and not everyday. He got a lot of great presents, hot wheels track, nerf guns, a Leapster2, some games, and building blocks. It's funny though that he still mostly just plays with his batman cape and paper airplanes and his koosh ball.

Yesterday marked 2 months home and it's hard to believe it's been that long and also hard to believe it's only been two months. Sam's english gets better everyday, but everything else feels like two steps forward, one step back. I'm happy that the holidays are over and things can get as back to normal as they can get.

As for New Years, I sort of hate making resolutions but I've been thinking a lot about finding joy in the everyday things. We are so blessed and I want to be able to see that in everything. I want to use my body more, read more, and find more ways to show Sam the beauty of the world around him. I want to make more friends and find a better balance to everything. Practically, I want to give up soda since it is the one thing I really can't live without and it's not good for me.

Other than that we're good. I've put some pictures below. Enjoy!
